A real demand for more qualitative oriented Awards had emerged among the LPs over the years and this why Leaders League is proud to announce the launch of the Private Equity Exchange Awards based on the ROI and long term performances.
The PEX awards aim to recognise the best performers of specific identities (LBO funds, Limited partners and Management teams) of the private equity cycle on the long run.
Firms are first selected by scientific and selection committee (LPs, specialized bankers...).
The firms nominated then have to hand in a form that will be sent to the jury to help them choose the laureates.
Criteria of selection
The PEX awards have specific characteristics:
-
Rewarding the best performers on the long run
-
Based on a qualitative oriented methodology.
This qualitative selection takes into account:
- A track record of the last 10 years
- The performances of the last 3 years
- The Return on Investment (ROI)
- The Internal Return Rate (IRR)
- The quality of the investments
- Exit performance
Quantitative criteria are also taken into account:

Jury
With a selection based on geographical and professional criteria, more than 80 experts have been asked to be part of the 8 prestigious specialised juries.
This selection is made to ensure that the PEX Awards are a real objective illustration of the private equity industry.
The experts are the ones determining the winners, by voting for the best submitted nomination form.
This is an extremely rigorous and confidential judging process based on their experience and market knowledge as well as on the information provided by nominees.
