Thierry joined the Investments Division of Suez in 1995 and became a Director at Suez Industrie that same year, before co-founding Astorg in 1998. Previously, he was with Banque Indosuez (later renamed CA-CIB) where he began his career in 1989 as a market risk officer in the trading room. In 1990, he joined Banque Indosuez’s Acquisition Finance team in London, where he worked on several leveraged buyout transactions. He subsequently joined the bank’s Project Finance Group in Paris, where he was responsible for arranging senior and subordinated financing for infrastructure and energy transactions, as well as for conducting several advisory assignments for private firms and governments. From 1995 to 1998, he monitored and led the divestments of several portfolio companies in France and abroad. At Astorg, Thierry has been involved in numerous transactions including: Frans Bonhomme, Sebia, Pasteur Cerba, Geoservices, Webhelp, Ethypharm, Photonis, Kerneos, HRA Pharma, Echosens, Nemera and Cytel. Thierry graduated with a Master’s in Management from ESCP Europe.
